How Schools are Selected
The Hippocrates Circle Program is open to 7th and 8th graders from public middle schools that meet the following criteria:
Participating Kaiser Permanente Medical Centers work with local school district administrators to select middle schools close to their vicinity based on the criteria listed above. Each school is selected and/or approved by the school superintendent and the Hippocrates Circle champion. There is no cost to students, parents, or public schools.
If you would like your child or students to have the opportunity to participate in the program and believe your child/student’s school meets the criteria above, contact us and inform us of your interest. Please be sure to include the name of the school and the city it is located in. This program is currently only available in Southern California.
The Hippocrates Circle Program is just one of many supports and resources available to students who want to become a physician. There are many other opportunities available in academic development, scholarships, financial aid support, community resource programming, and other Kaiser Permanente programs. Hippocrates Circle encourages students to explore our curated list below.
